Turn a service issue into an improvement action

Create an internal action, assign responsibility and record evidence before marking the improvement complete.

Complete the task

Follow these steps

  1. Create the improvement

    From a feedback record choose Create improvement, or open Improvements and choose Add improvement. Describe the issue category and practical fix.

  2. Set priority and ownership

    Record severity, frequency and ease of fix, then add an owner and due date when they are known.

  3. Work the action

    Move the action into progress and keep notes on the change made. Customer-facing issue follow-up remains a separate responsibility.

  4. Verify before completion

    Record the outcome and the evidence used to check it. Both are required before the internal improvement can be completed.
